Veterans Independence Program (VIP)

Veterans Affairs Benefits

If you are a Veteran or surviving spouse of a Veteran requiring in-home care or the assistance in your daily life, you may be eligible to receive benefits from Veterans Affairs Canada through the Veterans Independence Program (V.I.P.).

Veterans Affairs Canada offers a wide range of services and benefits to:

  • Qualified Veterans
  • Canadian Forces (CF) members
  • serving and discharged members of the RCMP;
  • certain civilians; and
  • their families

V.I.P Program

This national home care program helps those that qualify remain independent and self-sufficient in your own homes and communities.

Under VIP, qualified individuals may receive funds to assist them in paying for grounds maintenance (such as grass cutting or snow shoveling), housekeeping, personal care, access to nutrition and care and support by health professionals.

VIP does not replace other federal, provincial or municipal programs, rather it complements existing programs to help meet your needs.

Approved Veterans Affairs Provider

Right at Home Canada is an approved provider of Veterans Affairs.  We are here to assist with all medical and non-medical needs such as housekeeping, shopping, meals, medication reminders, transportation to appointments and personal hygiene care in an effort to keep you in your own homes.
